Características
Jan Lundgren (piano), Hans Backenroth (bass), and Kristian Leth (drums) form a renowned Scandinavian jazz rhythm section. They regularly perform as the backing trio for American tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton and have played together at the legendary Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen. “Caravan: For Kenny Drew” is a tribute to the American jazz pianist, who died in 1993 and was known for his bebop style and his contributions to both the New York scene and European jazz. Influenced by Bud Powell, Kenny Drew developed a distinctive style that combined technical precision with emotional depth.
“Caravan: For Kenny Drew” was recorded on February 4 and 5, 2026, at RMV Studio in Stockholm, Sweden, and mixed and mastered by legendary sound engineer Tetsuo Hara.
