Eric Alexander (*1968) is considered one of the best saxophonists of his generation. Accompanied by his regular musicians, bassist John Webber and drummer Joe Farnsworth, as well as Mike LeDonne on piano, the tenor saxophonist plays a series of standards on "Sunday in New York", with the exception of John Hicks' exciting hard bop piece "Avotcja".
