"Love Stinks" was the band's second album released by EMI. The production was, like its predecessor "Sanctuary", more commercial than in earlier times. Among other things, the result was the song "Love Stinks", which regularly degenerated into a real stage battle at live concerts, cheered on by band leader Peter Wolf.
