Armstrong and Peterson swing comfortably on this 1957 classic. Armstrong had just been signed by Verve boss Norman Granz and was deliberately placed alongside label star Oscar Peterson; the two complement each other wonderfully and have a great partner in Louie Bellson on drums. The repertoire includes unfamiliar pieces for Armstrong, but it is a great pleasure for the listener to accompany him as he explores the new sounds.
