On her new album "Secret Love Letters" the violinist Lisa Batiashvili presents a wonderful compilation of highly romantic pieces: Karol Szymanowski's First Violin Concerto, Ernest Chausson's "Poème," César Franck's "Sonata in A Major for Violin and Piano," and Claude Debussy's "Beau soir." Together with the Philadelphia Orchestra, its principal conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the young Georgian pianist Giorgi Gigashvili, she devotes herself with full dedication to all facets of passion, telling of forbidden love, but also of romance from the perspective of age.
