He combines R&B, rock, country, gospel and even calypso, as in the impressive and ear-sticking "Back To The Island." The single "Lady Blue" made it to #14 on the Billboard pop charts. Peppered with some funky tracks and many beautiful melodies, this album is a gem in Russell's discography.
