In 2024, to mark Decca's 95th anniversary and the 200th anniversary of Bruckner's birth, Universal Japan is releasing this 1969 concert from Vienna's Sofiensaal in the finest sound quality as a single-layer SACD.
Anton Bruckner, one of the greatest symphonic composers of the late Romantic period, wrote his characterful First Symphony at the age of 40.
