Yerba Buena Bounce is the tenth release from the Hot Club of San Francisco. America's longest-running gypsy jazz group. The quintet was inspired by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli in France. The ensemble's sound transports the listener back to the smoky bars of the 1930s. For this recording, the quintet was joined by mandolinist David Grisman and Seth Asarno on bandoneon. Three Dixieland horn players do the honours on the bonus tracks. Recorded at Professor Keith Johnson's Fantasy Studios, the album offers the naturalness and fidelity you expect from Reference Recordings.
