Pianist Garrick Ohlsson thrilled the audience of the "Grand Teton Music Festival" in Wyoming, USA in July 2022 with a masterful performance of Beethoven's complete piano concertos. Grammy award winner Ohlsson is to date the only American to win first prize at the "International Chopin Piano Competition"; however, he has also made a name for himself worldwide with his interpretations of Beethoven. He learned his craft from the Chilean pianist legend Claudio Arrau, among others.
The renowned festival with its more than 50-year history is considered a guarantor for high-quality classical music, which gathers top musicians from all over the world for its in-house orchestra, the "Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra". Under the baton of Sir Donald Runnicles, the General Music Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, a great recording has been made, which unfolds its sound wonderfully in SACD format and moves not only Beethoven fans.
