American pianist Gary Graffman has been a major figure in the music world since 1949, producing an extensive series of acclaimed recordings for CBS and RCA with the New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago and Boston orchestras. His career was slowed by a right hand injury, due to which he shifted to a left hand piano repertoire. Stanislaw Skrowaczewski is an internationally known conductor and composer. "Concerto Nicolò" was commissioned by Gary Graffman and is a joyful composition based on the well-known Caprice No. 24 by Nicolò Paganini.
