Peder Af Ugglas is a guitar wizard who can hold his own on the international stage: equally at home on electric and acoustic guitar and with blues as his foundation, he offers a highly interesting mix, sensitive and soulful, of rock, jazz, fusion, world music, and classical influences. His range is sometimes reminiscent of David Lindley, sometimes of Ry Cooder, and sometimes of Peter Green—but he always sounds unmistakably like Af Ugglas! On “Autumn Shuffle,” his debut album, all the tracks are his own compositions. In addition to guitar, he also plays piano, keyboards, and occasionally electric bass. The last track on the album is particularly impressive: “A Hymn.” Recorded in Stockholm's largest church, Af Ugglas celebrates a very special kind of slide guitar hymn in a duo with Mattias Wager on the organ! In addition to his work as a musician, Af Ugglas has also made a name for himself as a producer and studio musician over the past ten years, working with the cream of Swedish musicians, including Louise Hoffsten.
