In his 1966 liner notes to 'Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme', music critic Ralph J. Gleason wrote "The songs on this album are songs for all time. Rob LoVerde's remastering for Mobile Fidelity proves how right he was. Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel again released their third album with producer Bob Johnston, known for his perfectionism, who had their precise arrangements recorded on an eight-track recorder by engineer Roy Halee.
Simon and Garfunkel had fought for an unusual four months in the studio after their previous album, 'Sounds of Silence', had been produced in less than a month. The new Mobile Fidelity edition brings to light textures, nuances, details and micro-dynamics that were hidden from previous editions, and accurately reflects the duo's precision.
