In 1991, six years after their masterpiece "Brothers in Arms", Dire Straits released their last studio album "On Every Street" after a break of several years and a temporary separation. They delivered a great final work in which the band simply made really good music in classic British understatement style without marketing pomp and forced continuation of their previous successes.
The audiophile reissue on Hybrid SACD plays true to life, with generous groove space, nuanced detail and vibrant colours, and Knopfler's finely modelled guitar lines are transparent. The album was remastered for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab by Rob LoVerde. The hybrid SACD comes in a mini-LP sleeve with a 16-page booklet. A must for any audiophile collection.
