Chicago's sixth album dates from 1973 and was not only commercially successful with two hit singles, but also marked the beginning of a new sound world for Chicago. With the use of the newly built Caribou Studio of their producer James William Guercio, airiness moved into the sound picture and one can assume that it was also the sound of this studio that made the music move more in the direction of a fresh pop rock. Furthermore, the band was now working with guest musicians such as percussionist Laudir di Olivera, who would also appear on future albums.
The hybrid SACD has been delicately re-edited by Rob LoVerde, sounds fresh and open and you can definitely hear out that Chicago were several years ahead of the musical trend of the time. Supplied in mini LP cover with consecutive serial number.
