Fans and critics suspect that two factors are responsible for the bitter, regretful, yet peaceful tone of the 1975 album "Blood On The Tracks". After years of success, Dylan's musical development stagnated in the early 70s and he found himself in a creative stalemate. The crisis of his marriage, which culminated in his divorce from his wife Sara, occurred in the same phase. Dylan himself denied a connection, but whatever the reason, melancholy, frustration, ups and downs, sadness and the feeling of rejection are the emotions that are conveyed to the listener. Looking back, Dylan considered "Blood On The Tracks" as a turning point in his career, for many fans it is his best album.
The acoustic solo numbers as well as the songs with the band, consisting of Tony Brown on bass, Buddy Cage on guitar and Paul Griffin on organ, can now be heard with the greatest possible dynamics, presence and clarity in Krieg Wunderlich's mastering. This LP is part of a whole series of new Dylan releases from MFSL.
