Características
On "The Lark", violin genius Jascha Heifetz combines two icons of the Baroque and Late Romantic periods with a modern tone poem of the 20th century: Vitali's "Chaconne in G minor for violin and continuo" and Fauré's "Violin Sonata No. 1 in A minor, Op. 13" with Castelnuovo-Tedesco's "The Lark", a poem for violin and piano. Although almost two centuries separate the two compositions, they complement each other beautifully! This is an emotional work that, with its astonishingly calm surface, offers an intense listening experience.
