Dan Fogelberg is still considered one of the most influential American singer-songwriters in recent US music history. Almost all critics and, in particular, his loyal fan base agree on this. Fogelberg, who was discovered by Irving Azoff, who later became the manager of the Eagles and REO Speedwagon, played as a session musician in the early seventies with artists such as Van Morrison, Linda Ronstadt, the Eagles and Jackson Browne. “Souvenirs”, his second solo album, produced by guitarist Joe Walsh, finally brought him the long-awaited breakthrough in 1974 and made him an overnight star.
It is not only thanks to the hit single “Part Of The Plan” or fan favorites like “Illinois” and “There's A Place In The World For A Gambler” that “Souvenirs” has now reached double platinum status: Fogelberg's elegant songwriting and unforgettable vocals are enhanced on this album by an incredible list of musicians: Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Randy Meisner, Graham Nash, Russ Kunkel, Gerry Beckley, Kenny Passarelli and Al Perkins.
Impex Records, in association with Epic Records and Iconic Artist Group, is proud to present the official 50th anniversary limited edition 180-gram vinyl of Souvenirs!
