Fans of the electro-mechanical organ will be able to guess who is at the centre of attention here just by reading the title: The B3 model of the Hammond organ. Organist and pianist Tommy Schneider has paired it with a Leslie Soundbox 122 to create the unique sound that has contributed to the organ's legendary reputation.
Together with Adrian Stern on guitar, Hans Peter Bartsch on drums and Philippe Chrétien on saxophone, they play original compositions and classics in a fine combination of rock and jazz with a light touch of Latin. In addition to his wonderful organ playing, Schneider can also be heard on the flute. Recorded between 2001 and 2011, Plan B3 is dynamic and audiophile down to the smallest detail.
