'Tom's Diner' and 'Luka' are two of the catchy tunes from the late 80s that made singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega a household name. Although she is less in the spotlight these days, she recorded this enchanting live album in 2019, on which she interprets her classics and some lesser-known gems, demonstrating her talent for storytelling.
She is accompanied by guitarist Gerry Leonard, bassist Jeffrey Allen and keyboardist Jamie Edwards. The concert took place in March 2019 at the Café Carlyle on the Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York City. Sound engineers Kevin Killen and Bob Ludwig were responsible for mixing and mastering. An evening celebrated by fans and critics, and an insight into Vega's work that will remain a vivid memory in the best sound quality.
