Características
Yehudi Menuhin was an exceptional violinist with incredible talent and a great love for children and young people. An artist who understood the music he played as a form of human healing that helped him make peace with himself. Who, with his foundation, set up an artistic program for schools and, in particular, taught children in socially deprived areas to strengthen their expressiveness and creativity through art. A visionary, a violin virtuoso with a strong belief in his own talent and at the same time a knowledge of his own insecurities and mistakes. Music was not about success for Menuhin, it was a life support system.
The recording from Kingsway Hall in October 1958 and July 1959 includes the Violin Concerto in A minor (BVV 1041), the Concerto for Two Violins in D minor (BVV 1043) and the Violin Concerto in E major (BVV 1042). Menuhin is joined by Christian Ferras (violin) and the Bath Festival Orchestra. The XRCD remastering was done by Tohru Kotetsu, assisted by Shizuo Nomiyama and Combak mastermind Kazuo Kiuchi at JVC Mastering Studios in Yokohama. They used the existing analog stereo mix of the recording, which was flown in from London.
