"Antiphone Blues" is the dialogue of a saxophone and an organ in the mighty nave of Spanga Church in Stockholm. Saxophonist Arne Domnerus and organist Gustav Sjökvist engage in a sensitive musical dialogue. The original recordings took place on August 26, 1974. The recording system is not conveyed, but appears to have been high class. The K2 HD mastering once again gets everything out of the analog tapes.
Both the FIM SACD and the K2HD of this title differ in spatial presentation from the initial release. Producer Winston MA decided to make the previously somewhat right-heavy recording spatially wider and to place the saxophone slightly to the left in front of the central organ.
