"Hobo", Sara K.'s fourth album for Chesky Records, is considered by many to be one of her best releases. "Hobo" combines the acoustic down-to-earthiness of folk with the harmonic subtlety of jazz, the earthy fire of blues and the confessional lyricism of singer/songwriters. The award-winning album from 1997 has been significantly upgraded by the excellent sound quality of the new remastering from Chesky Records!
In the 12 songs about love and life itself, Sara's wide range of vocal colors and emotions come into their own. In addition to ten original numbers, including the poignant "Moving Big Picture" and the wonderfully meditative title track, Sara K. also interprets the timeless show hit "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Rodgers & Hammerstein. The highlights of the album certainly include "Brick House", an acoustic cover version of the 1977 mega-hit by the Commodores and "Oh Well" by the great Fleetwood Mac.
The album was produced using Chesky's renowned high-fidelity recording techniques that put Sara's expressive voice center stage.
