Características
The 13 string virtuosos who make up this conductorless ensemble have rightly named themselves after Arcangelo Corelli. Both as a violinist and composer, Corelli took the art of string playing to unprecedented heights and opened up new dimensions of dynamics and sonority. What makes the Societa Corelli so special among interpreters of Corelli, Vivaldi, and other masters of the period is their unique style: their tone, use of vibrato, and other subtleties evident on this recording testify to their artistic, creative, and lively musicianship.
The reissue of the “RCA Living Stereo Classical” series by Analogue Productions meets the highest audiophile standards: Mathew Lutthans (The Mastering Lab) is responsible for remastering the original tapes.
