Little Feat was founded by the late, great Lowell George and made music that was laid-back, funky, literary, and impossible to categorize. Released in 1972, “Sailin' Shoes” captured the band at the moment their legend was taking shape – a mix of sharp stories and swampy grooves that defined the coolness factor of the early '70s. From “Willin'” and “Easy To Slip” to the boastful title track, it's a masterclass in Southern California songwriting with a touch of Louisiana. These songs cemented Little Feat's legend as one of rock's most distinctive voices. Produced by Tod Templeman, the album was voted #469 on the third edition of Colin Larkin's All Time Top 1000 Albums.
As part of its “Acoustic Sounds 40 Series,” Analogue Productions is now celebrating this classic album with a collectible Hybrid SACD.
