Jean Morel, who worked for many years with the Metropolitan Opera and trained many talents during his more than twenty years teaching at the Juilliard School, conducts the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden, for this recording. Decca engineer Kenneth Wilkinson was responsible for the 1959 recording at Kingsway Hall. A rare and sought-after album from the Living Stereo series.
