The 1958 recordings of Mendelssohn's “Violin Concerto In E Minor” and Prokofiev's “Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor” are further proof of the virtuosity of the exceptional violinist Jascha Heifetz. In collaboration with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Charles Munch, Heifetz lends classical elegance and beauty to Mendelssohn's famous work with ease and deep musicality. The tone is outstanding, the phrasing ingenious down to the smallest detail. Heifetz and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Munch, give an equally emotional and brilliant interpretation of Prokofiev's violin concerto.
