Foreigner's “Double Vision” had all the ingredients for a mega-hit: extremely talented musicians, strong songwriting, lots of airplay and a perfect timing – after all, it came out a year after the release of the self-titled debut album (1977), which sold millions of copies.
“Double Vision” not only seamlessly continued the success of ‘Foreigner’: With songs like ‘Hot Blooded’, ‘Double Vision’ and ‘Blue Morning, Blue Day’, which all became gigantic radio hits and were very well received by the audience, the sales figures of the blockbuster predecessor were even surpassed. Lou Grams' powerful vocals and Mick Jones' guitar playing were the key components of the band's sound. The musical abilities of Ed Gagliardi (bass), Dennis Elliott (drums) and Al Greenwood (keyboards) also impressed fans and critics. Meanwhile, “Double Vision” has been certified seven times (!) platinum.
Analogue Productions is proud to present the definitive version of “Double Vision”. For Foreigner fans, this reissue, which celebrates the 75th anniversary of Atlantic Records, is an essential addition to their music collection.
