Características
“Déjà Vu” marks the debut of Crosby, Stills & Nash as a quartet. With the new band member Neil Young, the album reached number 1 in the Billboard 200 shortly after its release in March 1970. With more than 7 million copies sold, the trio now became a ‘supergroup’. Stephen Stills described the recording process for “Déjà Vu”, which is now considered the band's masterpiece, as “pulling teeth”: one song after another didn't make it onto the album, and the title track, written by David Crosby and beloved by the fans, was even rejected as a single.
This did not, of course, detract from the success of this milestone album. With the singles “Teach Your Children”, “Our House”, “Carry One” and the cover version of Joni Mitchell's “Woodstock”, “Déjà Vu” contains timeless hits.
Chris Bellman took care of the mastering in Bernie Grundman's mastering studio, creating this first-class reissue by Analogue Productions. The 45 RPM double LP was carefully pressed at Quality Record Pressings on 180-gram vinyl and comes in a tip-on an old style gatefold double-pocket jacket with textured stock by Stoughton Printing.
