In the 21st century, Bob Marley is a global cultural icon and the first Jamaican to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “Natty Dread”, Bob Marley's seventh album, was released in 1974 and was his first album recorded without Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer as The Wailers. “Natty Dread” was extremely successful, especially in the UK, where it reached number 43 on the charts and sold over 100,000 copies, achieving gold status. Over time, it also gained popularity in other parts of the world and was ranked number 181 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003.
