Kiev-born conductor Anatole Fistoulari was a specialist in ballet music. He conducted the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden, for this recording of two pieces by Sir William Walton and Charles Alexandre Lecocq. Engineer Ken Cross and producer Michael Williamson created another Decca/RCA masterpiece with this 1959 recording.
The remastering of the hybrid SACD for Analogue Productions was carried out by Willem Makee.
