Características
Russian cellist Daniel Shafran and pianist Lydia Pecherskaya show themselves in great form in this 1961 recording: Substantial sounds, passionate playing. A few weeks after his debut in the U.S., Shafran played again at Carnegie Hall and once more convinced the audience with his singing cello sound, his precision, his finesse and the ease with which he mastered complex passages.
