Características
The material on this album comes from a studio session conducted by Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer and Joachim-Ernst Brendt in the Black Forest on June 20, 1968 - five days after Evans' famous performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival with bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Jack DeJohnette. The recording of the Montreux performance released by Verve won the Grammy, but that studio recording has lain in the archives ever since.
The lacquer cut for this release as a double 45 rpm LP on 200-gram vinyl for 2xHD was done by Rene LaFlamme at Bernie Grundman Mastering.
