For almost a decade the CD-S6 was the flagship of Vincent CD series. The CD-S7 DAC takes the popular features of the acclaimed CD-S6, including its vacuum tube output stage for rich and glorious sound, and supplements them with internal improvements and the addition of a Digital Analogue Converter (DAC).

Now you can input your digital signals via optical, coaxial or USB, and upgrade them with the 24 bit / 192kHz DAC to near CD sound quality.

For enhanced performance compared to the CD-S6, the S7 DAC uses two Burr-Brown PCM-1796 24-bit, 96 kHz DACs rather than the PCM-1732 found in the S6. And instead of the CD-S6’s two-way design, the new S7 DAC boasts a four channel balanced analog amplifier stage. Another big step up is the use of premium internal components, including WIMA capacitors, with M-CAP capacitors employed in the power circuit board.

The oversize power supply contributes to the response, stability, and quiet operation. The surprising 20-lb. weight of the CD-S7 DAC and its substantial chassis testifies to the quality of the power supply as well as the general build. A robust Philips VAM 1202 transport mechanism joins forces with Burr-Brown PCM-1732 24-bit, 96 kHz DACs.

A masterpiece of sonic excellence, the CD-S7 DAC offers a stunningly outstanding musical portrait in an elegant and classy design. A true 'Class A' configured vacuum tube output stage complements the latest in cutting edge 24-bit, 96 kHz D/A conversion. The result is a warm, rich, and detailed soundstage with subtlety and finesse. Yet it maintains the energy and dynamics of solid-state circuitry that are needed to maintain your favorite music’s energy and spirit.

The tubes in the output amplification stage consist of three 12AX7s and one 12AU7. And for maximum aesthetics, the vacuum tube illumination can be dimmed or even switched off via the wireless remote control Connections include one RCA output, one coaxial digital output, and a headphone output. The vacuum tube in the front 'window' is used to power the headphone output.

The Vincent reveals the wood of the grand piano and subtle nuances in the pluck of an acoustic bass. With its sophisticated hybrid technology, it redefines the spirit of music.

No Preamp? No Problem! The CD-S7 DAC's outstanding tube output stage can also be used to directly-drive your solid state or tubed power amplifier. An volume output level control is included in the full-function metal infrared remote control. With 2.5-volts output, the CD-S7 DAC can easily drive any ordinary stereo power amp.
